Blogging on temporary hold secondary to sister's wedding, sick nanna, climbing baby and generally not enough minutes in the day! Hope to be back soon. Disregard obvious panic.

what i affectionately like to call...
... the trolley:

Yep, that's pretty much all my stuff. Sad, huh? I need to do some shopping! My big brainwave was to hang the 'saddlebags' off the sides to hold extra embellies and tools. I spent all night telling Rog how clever I was to think of it. The trolley is a very old (circa 1960s) thing that my Nanna gave me. It could do with a coat of paint. The main thing is that it moves. In theory, I can pack up quick and get my stuff out of sight. In theory.

Um, yeah. That box does say 'completed layouts'. I don't actually own any albums. Oops. This year I promise to get layouts into albums. Promise. Now I think this baby needs a name. I'm feeling quite attached to her already.
Speaking of which, I was trying to name some of D's toys this afternoon because I feel like a neglectful mum having all these nameless toys lying around. I was attempting to name each one as I threw it into the playpen, and as this one flew in:

the name that immediately came out of my mouth was 'Dildo'. I've always thought it looked inappropriate for a child's toy. And I'm afraid that name is going to stick. Oh, the questions that will raise...
My perfect baby boy was up all night last night. Screaming. Inconsolable for hours. Very unlike him, and very hard to get used to after many weeks of not having to get out of bed! He woke this morning with a killer cold, which explains the unsettledness. His first cold. Poor bugger.
Rog is sick and miserable too. In bed. I'm procrastinating, but should get to bed after my very broken sleep last night. Hope the little man sleeps through tonight. Must check who got voted off Dancing With The Starts before I go... and... it's... Naomi Robson. Goodo. My money's on Tim (from Home and Away). I've got a thing for redheads. Yum.

holy crap
My little man pulled himself up into standing tonight. And it wasn't an accident. He did it four times, and would have kept going, except I stopped him because I was freaking out.
IS THIS NORMAL? He's only 6.5 months old.
It's all too much this week! I feel like he's going to get up, pack his bags, and leave home tomorrow. LOL.
It's making me appreciate scrapbooking - his babyhood is going so fast. Not that I've gotten much done lately, but it seems I should. I need to remember this stuff.
I reorganised my scrap stuff today. And my sewing stuff. Will take pics if I remember. Still got an amount of stuff to purge and sort, but I'm most of the way there. On a mission lately.
In other news, my printer died. It's only two years old, but apparently these Canons just up and die after about a year and a half. So I should count myself lucky. Grrrrr.
Public holiday tomorrow. Which means Rog gets to sleep in. Me, not so much. Although D is stretching out to waking at 7.30 or so lately, which is definitely a tolerable time to get up.
Just for fun, some pics taken last weekend at Brooke's 2nd birthday party. I know it *looks* like the beach, but it's actually a 'fake' beach at one of the local lakes. Still tastes like a beach - Diesel tested. He loves the water. I love that he loves the water. And Brooke wouldn't take that Dorothy the Dinosaur hat off all day. Bless her.

Edited to add
He has TWO teeth. The other must have popped up the same day. Sheesh.
And here's a pic of my cheeky boy crawling to get hold of my camera.

So tired. Supposed to be trying to get my scrap stuff into some order - it is strewn across the entire house at the moment. Trying to compact it onto one little rolling table. LOL. Who am I kidding?

Craziness
Do you ever feel like you blinked and missed a whole lotta stuff? Cos this week has been crazy. I've been busy, but all of a sudden my little boy has gone and grown up on me and I don't know how it happened. I sure didn't say he could ;o)
In the last 5 days he has:
Must get some pics of him crawling. It's so cute - he's just so little to be getting around! Poor kids at playgroup have got no chance now - he just steals all their toys and takes off. And I have to properly babyproof the house. I didn't expect to have to do it so soon!
K, better get onto dinner before he wakes up ready to play with Daddy once he gets home.
In the last 5 days he has:
- decided to crawl properly (yesterday)
- learnt how to sit up by himself (Sunday)
- cut a tooth (today - I think!)
